Directions
The Sportsman Motel and RV Park is just off I-15 at exit 93; 38
miles south of Butte; 30 miles north of Dillon. From the freeway,
head toward town (west) on the freeway access road. At the stop
sign, turn right (north) onto Frontage Road, which becomes Main
Street in town. The Sportsman is at 540 North Main, on the north
edge of town. Can't miss us.
Local
Information
Melrose has a summer population of about 90, and all the advantages
and disadvantages of a small town. There is a post office, one
restaurant, a bar and grill, two fly shops and gas pumps. The
restaurant's a good one, with local ranch beef on the table and
ranch-hand-sized portions. The most noise you'll hear is the morning
train, or maybe a cattle drive going through town.
***Dillon
and Butte are the closest towns for supplies (including milk and
bread) - just pack in what you want when you come.
